Ash Biomedical is a Nigerian-led manufacturer and supplier of in-vitro diagnostic products designed for clinical laboratories, hospitals, public health programmes, and point-of-care settings. For over 14 years, we have supplied essential rapid diagnostic test kits to institutions across 27+ states in Nigeria, serving more than 40 public and private sector clients. Our focus is on delivering reliable, affordable diagnostics through local production aligned with global quality standards — ensuring that life-saving tests reach the communities that need them most.

Founded in 2011, Ash Biomedical was established to address gaps in access to essential diagnostic products in Nigeria. What began as a supply and distribution operation has evolved into a manufacturing-focused diagnostics company with a clear mandate to strengthen healthcare delivery through dependable testing solutions.

What Makes Us First, Ash Biomedical is the first Nigerian diagnostics company to design and execute a full localisation programme for rapid diagnostic test manufacturing — spanning product design, quality systems, regulatory ownership, and phased technology transfer.

Quality, compliance, and consistency underpin everything we do. We hold NAFDAC registrations across our product range and work exclusively with internationally certified manufacturing partners, including AICHEK Biotech (ISO 13485, NMPA-China). Every product we distribute is subject to rigorous quality verification before it reaches the field. Our forthcoming manufacturing operations will be governed by Good Manufacturing Practice standards from the outset. We maintain long-standing relationships with federal and state procurement agencies, development organisations, and healthcare institutions — supplying providers who rely on accurate diagnostics to make critical patient decisions.

Infectious Disease Diagnostics for Africa’s Highest-Burden Conditions.

Ash Biomedical’s product portfolio is focused on rapid diagnostic testing for the infectious diseases that impose the greatest burden on Nigerian and African healthcare systems. Our tests are designed for point-of-care and laboratory settings, delivering fast, reliable results without the need for specialised equipment. Our current and developing product areas include: HIV (including HIV/Syphilis combination testing), Malaria (Pf and Pan antigen detection), Hepatitis B and C, Typhoid, Dengue, and Pregnancy. This range reflects the diagnostic priorities of public health programmes, primary healthcare facilities, and clinical laboratories across Nigeria and the wider region.

Ash Biomedical was founded in 2011 with a single mandate: make high-quality diagnostics reliably available in Nigeria. Over 14 years, we built a commercial operation that now serves 40+ institutional clients across 27+ states — completing 66+ government contracts and distributing more than 5 million test kits every year.

Our growth has been deliberate and operationally grounded — built on regulatory compliance, consistent supply, and deep knowledge of Nigeria’s public health procurement market. Today, we are executing the next phase: a purpose-built GMP manufacturing facility at the IDU Industrial Area, Abuja, that will make Ash Biomedical Nigeria’s first truly indigenous RDT manufacturer at scale.
